On the 11th of March 1993, as a continuation of
the businesses of Chari Alimentación in Castellar del Valles,
UNIFRES, S.L. was born and immediately became a frozen pastry company
as the result of the clear conviction of its new owners that this
would be an important sector of the future. For ten years UNIFRES
underwent a period of steady growth, forcing it to extend its production
plant and move it to Terrassa.
Currently, with the firm aim of consolidating its position in the
sector’s main markets, 14,000,000 Euros have been invested
in a new factory in the industrial complex that the LASEM GROUP has
built in Castellgalí.
On the 15th of May 2003, UNIFRES, S.L. changed its name to ATRIAN
BAKERS, and under the management of the most renowned professionals
in the sector supported by a workforce of 120 employees and the most
sophisticated modern machinery, some of it custom-made and unique
in the market, the company sold around 220 products. Turnover in
the first 5 years is forecast to reach EUR 60,000,000. To help it
achieve this objective, ATRIAN has a subsidiary in Portugal which
works under the name of ATRIAN INDUSTRIA ALIMENTAR, S.A.
ATRIAN BAKERS has agents in the U.S.A., Asia, France, Germany and
The Netherlands.
